Some style isn't loud. It's the person in the corner who clearly reads. English dark academia, collegiate counterculture, the look of being well-read worn as a posture.
We built that world with Noah's Brendon Babenzien and photographer Rahim Fortune, somewhere ambiguously between New York and Britain. I shot the Super 8 that gave it its grain and its point-and-shoot intimacy.
Then we put the money where the mouth was: a donation to Behind the Book, funding literacy programs in underserved New York schools. Looking like you read is a pose. Helping kids actually do it is the move.
